Ok I am fairly new to this whole thing, I haven't even gotten to the setup my connection step, but when I click on the xlink engine and press Configuration it opens up Firefox and says Firefox cannot establish a connection to http://localhost:34522/config.htm. I tried this in Internet Explorer as well and it gave me the same error, has anyone had this happen? Or does anyone know why I can't open the configuration page?

Thanks...

Run the KaiEngine and get there into your web browser.

I am doing that, but well, the problem is it goes to that page and says it can't establish a connection. If I click on Configure, or if I put it in the address bar manually, it gives me the same "unable to establish connection" error page (basically the same page as if a website were not there)

Oh nevermind I figured it out. I had to put in 127.0.0.1 instead of localhost in that address for some reason, but now the config tool is running!

And how about specifying your problem, apprentice moderator?
Which error do you have? Your browser cannot fill the bar of the config's page? Firefox? Internet Explorer? Opera?

Get to 7,3 Kai's version if you do not manage to make it appear.

I had a similar problem after installing Kai... A simple reboot allowed me to access the config.

http://www.microolap.com/products/network/pssdk/

Or try Windcap instead.

If you are under Vista, run Kai as administrator.

Just try the 7,3 Kai version by downloading it in the download part of the main site: www.teamxlink.co.uk

For configuration's needs, that version uses a window instead of a browser's tab. It seems it saves us from many headaches even if we still could have been able to solve your problem by digging it up a little bit more.

I am having the same problem, where I cannot access any of the files, it says that it is searching for the Kai Engine. Also when I try to open the Configure page from Windows it does the same and when I go to it through history it loads the page but none of the options are there and I cannot save or make changes.

I suggest you try 4 things

1. Install the latest microsoft visual c++ library 2010.

2. Make sure javascript is enabled in your default webbrowser and no browser plugins interfere.

3. Try another webbrowser.

4. If 1, 2 and 3 wont work follow this guide here--> http://teamxlink.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=32242&sid=b34ceb5004ff4c034877884db6ed8a97
