360 shows as ps2 wont find games. please help

Is your network reachable? yes
Are you using a router? yes
Did you set a static IP on the PC running Kai? no
Did you forward port 30000 to the static IP? yes, pc is just not on static but ip matches, used simple port tester and it says it worked
Did you click the globe after forwarding to see if your network goes reachable? yes
What console are you using? xbox 360 elite retail
Is your console being detected? I don't know. in the ui when I click the magnifying glass then the folder it shows what I think is the mac address of my 360 but nothing happens, it never says it is configured or anything. I have seen on my friends kai that it will say it is configured so I think that is what is not letting us connect. when I click metrics in the browser kai it shows my 360 as a ps2 but I dont have a ps2.
Brief description of your network setup: verizon fios, desktop computer plugged into router, xbox 360 plugged into router both wired.
Model numbers of the router, and modem? action tech MI424WR-GEN2 rev. E. it's a modem router together.
Do you use a software firewall? What brand? Have you made any changes to it?no
Operating System? windows xp service pack 3
Problem description? Me and my friend rented ghost recon future soldier and were trying to play co-op but we cant play on xbl cause they added stupid online passes so we are trying to get it to work on here but we cant see each others game. I think the problem is on my end, kai shows my xbox 360 as a ps2 in metrics. when I click the folder icon in the ui it shows a number in a grayed out box and nothing else. My friends shows a message that the console is configured. If you need any more info let me know thanks.

You wrote that you have a "360 retail elite console" is it jtaged has a RHG or do you use FSD ? Give your computer and xbox360 a static ip and set your router firewall settings to "typical security medium" and enable upnp. In your kai config set your adapter to your PCs lan card, dont leave it on auto. Enable the PAT option too. Sometimes consoles are not being shown as the "right ones" or just show a mac address this shouldnt affect your ability to play its just a glitch.

It is not a jtag or rhg it is just a normal xbox. I did select the ethernet card in the kai config, and my firewall in the router is set to typical. I even tried setting it to minimum but the problem was still there. and upnp is enabled.

I think I tried enable pat and it didnt work but I will try again right now.

ok just tried enable pat and same thing never says console configured or failed just kinda hangs there. I can take a screen shot if you want.

I uninstalled kai and reinstalled it. I was able to see someones game but they are overseas so it wouldnt let us play but atleast I was able to see a game in system link. guess I'll see if me and my friend can connect tomorrow and let you know. thanks.
