Hello everybody!
I need a help... After instal xlink kai 7.4.24 and clicking "Configuration" I met a problem:
Can't open registry key 'HKCR\http\shell\open\DDEExec\topic' (error 2: Can`t find the file.)

Can't read value of 'HKCR\http\shell\open\DDEExec\topic' (error 2: Can`t find the file.)
I use Win 7 x64 Ultimate
Please help to find solution!

And forgive me for my "bad english"

Very Happy

First of all download and install Registry Backup--> http://www.majorgeeks.com/Tweaking.com_-_Registry_Backup_d7786.html and save your registry. The next step would be to delete the regkey HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\HTTP\shell\open\ddeexec this should fix it.

In \ddeexec empty. There is no regkey. After deleted directory "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\HTTP\shell\open\ddeexec" error is gone, but http://127.0.0.1:34522/config.htm still not loading.

Have you javascript enabled in your webbrowser ? Make sure no plugins like noscript are blocking the site. Have you tried another browser ?

IE works most of the time have you tried it too ? You can edit the config manually go to

-Windows Vista/7: C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\Xlink Kai\KaiUserConfig.txt
-Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\%user%\Application Data\Xlink Kai\KaiUserConfig.txt

and edit the file.

What exactly edit in this file?

My friend told me that problem in close port, no in the registry.

Whatever you want its the same config as in the webbrowser just in text format.

If the port is closed open it up by configuring your internet router.
