[b]What console are you using?[xbox original]
[b]Is your console being detected? [Unknown]

[b]Model numbers of the router, and modem?[Unknown]
[b]Do you use a software firewall? What brand? Have you made any changes to it? [I use symantec anti-virus for mac. I also have my firewall on mac set to "Allow only essential services" in my system preferences]

Heres the Halo 2 manual if it helps--> http://assets.xbox.com/en-US/GameManuals/Halo2_Manual_HumanNA.pdf

My understanding is that you create a private arena on kai. Next you go to the available games (in halo 2) where you can choose to join a game and on top should be the option to create a new game. Maybe this vid at the 6:40 mark will help you--> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rey_zE3Ka8Y or just ask the guys in the halo 2 arena how they are doing it.

giggyprince thank you for your help again,

That youtube video did not seem to help me much. He simply went to system link and games popped up.

In my case no public games closed or open ever appear anymore.

I've tried clicking on the pencil icon in latin america, changed my status to hosting on kai and opened a new game up under system link.

When I talked with other english speakers in the latin america forum, they were able to join my kai private room, but unable to see my game on the xboxes.

What was I doing wrong?

Are you able to host other games ? Do you use a HDD copy of Halo 2 or a retail disk ? Ive read somewhere that you have to use a original Halo 2 not just the mappack disk to play multi player.

I have not tried to host other games.

I do own an actual disk of halo 2, bought brand new from gamestop when the game came out in 2004.

I also have a halo 1 disk, but have not used it on here, since no one plays halo 1 on here.

Any more thoughts?

If it is a port forwarding issue have you tried to port forward ? Lighthouse might help you on that, or www.portforward.com give it a try. Maybe this vid will help you setting up kai for mac properly--> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a8GAtugH5lE
