Is your network reachable? Not yet
Are you using a router? Yes, Dlink
Did you set a static IP on the PC running Kai? Yes
Did you forward port 30000 to the static IP? Yes
Did you click the globe after forwarding to see if your network goes reachable? Using Mac, there is no globe.
What console are you using? Xbox
Is your console being detected? Yes
Brief description of your network setup: Ethernet cable going from Xbox to Router and then connecting wirelessly from router to computer.
Model numbers of the router, and modem? Router: Dlink DIR655, Modem: Arris
Do you use a software firewall? What brand? Have you made any changes to it? Firewall turned off.
Operating System? OSX 10.6.8
Problem description? I have been trying to connect all day but to no avail. When I first started, I hadn't port forwarded or anything but it was saying I was Reachable: Yes and my console was being recognized. However, I wasn't able to connect to any games in the arena and no games showed up in the System Link menu of Halo 2. So then I went through the Quickstart guide step by step and set a static IP address, port forwarded, turned off firewalls, etc. and now it's saying Reachable: Not yet but it's still recognizing my console. I feel like I have tried just about everything but had no luck. It's unfortunate that basically need a degree in computer science to play Halo 2 these days. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated! I'm about to give up. :/ Thank you!
