Brief description of your network setup: Linksys BEFW11S4 wireless router, but PC is hardwired to the router and the xbox is hardwired through a hub then into the router.
Do you use a software firewall? What brand? Have you made any changes to it? I don't use a firewall.

You got a screenshot of the router page handy? I assume you use XBC also, but just make sure that your port forward is still pointing to the correct internal IP. |

Actually I haven't been able to get that to work either
How do you post pics
btw the Internal IP is 192.168.2.100
I begining to think that the xxx.xxx.2.xxx is the problem
but that is the way it was set up by sprint
Modem is 192.168.1.1
Router is 192.168.2.1 |

Are you sure that is the IP of the router and the modem? Looks like you are on different subnets. |

So your WAN IP is 192.168.1.1? Not that it should matter but can you open port 30000 for your computers IP and then put 30000 in on the XLink Kai config, Kai port at 30000 as well and see if it grabs your network? |

no my wan IP is totaly diff 67.**.**.*
My modem can be accessed like a router by using 192.168.1.1 and you can then change settings
Well that didn't work |

Post a screenshot of the router page where you've made the port forward on port 8602. |

I must ask, did you get it working when Kai Port was 0, and you weren't using any port-forwards? Maybe you might not even be required to port-forward (always router dependent). |

no it didn't work then either
I just tries to change the subnet on my router and modem
to get them to have 192.168.1.x
inplace of (router)192.168.2.1 and (modem)192.168.1.1
but it would not let me
My modem has 192.168.1.1 and a sub 255.255.255.252
Router 192.168.2.1 and sub 255.255.255.0
I don't know if that would make a difference or not??? |

It sure can but if it is or not I am not sure. Your router should have the capability to change the IP to 192.168.1.x correct? And if so can you try and change the settings to that and see if it makes a difference? |

Ok I tried that and I had to reset the router to get back in
I just found out that there is an update for my router but the image that was on the site was invalid so
I will update the router when I get the valid image |

If you're using ADSL or DSL or anything that's requiring PPPoE, why not let the router just handle it all and turn this modem into just a normal modem, instead of making it a router / modem (that's essentially what it's doing right now).
EDIT: No responce in over a week, assuming problem solved. |
