Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops Plus - working on connection

I couldn't see anyone posting about this. I noticed it was said to be playable, so I'm trying to figure out how to get it to work. I need someone to help with this.(most likely you just have to host and sit w/ Xlink chat open, you can do what ever you want, google, play a computer game, just be ready for me to ask something)

Things I've notice by myself:
-When joining, MPO+ does a single check, not a continuous update for who's available, and it lasts ~.25-.5 seconds.
-When hosting, my PSP always has the same SSID "PSP_AULUS102920_L_mpc3bab", another game (cant remember which one) would change each time I hosted.

So, the main issue I'm seeing, is how to connect(join)... I've tried the plugin, but it crashes the game as I start hosting. Not sure if it would work if you joined using the plugin. All-in-all, I need someone to help test with me, if at all possible.
