General discussion hasn't seen a new post in three months.
That's sad, guys.
When will we get a donation button? |

That's super kind of you to ask, Atlas. As things stand, our operating costs are relatively low with the admins covering the costs of orbitals, the main servers, and related domain registration fees. We are not struggling. |

I know you guys still encourage to donate to charity, or at least it says so in the main page.
Just thought I'd ask, because, while a nice service, this really does seem to be dying, especially with Next gen coming on.
Do you have any word on wether the XBONE will support SysLink, or maybe the PS4?
If so, what about ping limits?
A part of me really wants microsoft to stop being jerks and remove the ping limits for Xbone ports of x360 titles, but that's just wishful thinking. |

Both the Xbox One and PS4 won't have system link support, at this point in time not one game development company have expressed interest in creating LAN driven multiplayer games for the next generation consoles now that digital content is the primary method for online gaming.
At this point in time next gen consoles have a limited number of games anyhow so the Xbox 360 and PS3 are still very much alive and kicking on our network as most players have either a modded or J-Tagged Xbox by now.
While it would be nice to get them to remove the 30ms ping limit they won't as its because of creative ideas like XLink Kai that they added the limit, eventually in the future the internet infrastructure should get to a point where online gaming no longer contains lag and players share an enjoyable 30-80ms ping to one another.
While our network may look like its dying the stats show we have a steady 1100 players on everyday on average which is still extremely good considering our record was 13,000+ when a new Monster Hunter game was released which sent the PSP community into overdrive.
We are still here, we're still kicking. |
