Just gathering some research on how to get Xlink Kai running in my bedroom without having to use my home router which is located downstairs. I'd appreciate all the help I can get.
What I'm intending to do is have my Original Xbox in my bedroom and connect it to my Raspberry Pi 2 using an Ethernet Cable. My Raspberry Pi 2 has a Wireless Adapter that connects to the router downstairs successfully.
Is this possible? If so, do I install Xlink Kai on the Raspberry Pi and if so how do I interact with it, it doesn't look like it has an interface? I've heard it has to be a headless Raspberry Pi, does this mean I still need to use a computer or laptop to access it? Could I leave the Raspberry Pi running and never have to mess with the configuration again?
I understand there may be tutorials that go through the process of using the Raspberry Pi but I have never seen anyone actually achieve this and cover all these questions, any answers will be appreciated.
Below is an image of what I intend to do, however where it says "PC" I would like the Raspberry Pi 2, and I would like it to wirelessly connect to the router. My aim is to use the Pi to create a way of keeping my Xbox connected to Xlink Kai upon start up.
