Kai and the PS2 work a little different than most of the threads you'll see for the Xbox. When you tunnel your PS2 online through Kai, it needs to obtain an IP address from the Kai Engine which has its own DHCP server built into it. In order for this to work you need to either disable DHCP on your router and manually configure your other devices, or find some way to prevent the PS2 from getting its address from anything other than Kai.

Once you have that setup you basically run Kai and login, turn on the PS2 so that it gets its address from Kai (Should be a 10.x.x.x address), join the arena for the game you want to play, run the game and select LAN play.

Hope this helps.

kaiPort=7677
kaiDeepPort=6766

What's this nonsense? Where did you concoct these weird port numbers, and *who* told you to touch Deep Port Confused

Put both to 0 and see. If you're using a port forward (you apparently use port 7677 UDP according to your config file), then leave Kai Port as 7677. Why you chose that number I don't know, but Deep Port - LEAVE IT AS 0!

let me start over and thank you for staying with me. Your team has been a great help. I think the problem is solved. I changed the numbers back to 0(B4 they were at 3000 then 30000 then 6766. Now back to zero. I was getting no ping and now when I entered i was told i had it. i do not have the game for the place i entered so i have to wait for socom2 to come available. when i check, i will let you know what happens. Thanx so far.

p.s. my xbox is next, then the game cube...

There's no need to ask people if they see your ping. Seriously the only 2 things you need to check are:

Network reachable = Yes
PS2 detected = Yes

If people see your ping, it's the same as you going into Diagnostics Mode and seeing Network Reachable = Yes.

Putting Kai Port = 0 let's Kai automatically probe for an open port and uses that. THe port will be different each time you run Kai.

These are my current settings

[KaiUserConfig]
kaiUsername=MOSTH8ED
kaiPassword=
kaiPort=0 sometimes 3000
kaiDeepPort=0
kaiAccept=ALL
kaiTimeout=NOUI
kaiNIC=0
kaiLaunch=BOTH
kaiHomebrew=OFF
kaiPAT=OFF
kaiAutoLogin=ON
kaiAllowBadNICS=OFF
kaiWireless=
kaiUI=Default

Ps2 detected and configured (in theory)
network reachable=yes
Locked=yes

Linksys Wireless
Port >= EXT. 3000 to 3000 IP=192.168.1.100

I still can not see games when i get on LAN (the tv part)
I am told I am establishing link but it seems other people establishing a link are playing... is that possible or are they messing with me?
Heeeeeelp!!!
