Calling all mech-jockeys!
Going strong into 2019, Steel Battalion: Line of Contact for the Xbox has an active community on XLink Kai!
We currently run planned events every 2 weeks on Saturdays in the afternoon/evening(Now with earlier start times!), with lots of spontaneous matches on the days/weeks in-between. At least a few pilots at a time are usually up for practice/small skirmishes most nights as well, if you happen to be online.
If you're an old vet from the days of Campaign, you've played the game on a LAN, or you just think you might be interested in getting in on what is still the best, most in-depth, most fun bipedal mech simulator/shooter ever made, come shoot with us!

AFTER-ACTION REPORT(2/23): It's official: This last Saturday's was the BIGGEST LOC-DOWN OF 2019 SO FAR! Sprawling battles up the sides of mountains, across dusty plains, and through dense jungles! Nothing gets the blood pumping like the flash of rails and the sweet sweet sound of CHUCKD23's 'Zug bull-dozing through your windshield! Honestly, I don't know what's better: seeing new faces, or seeing those old ones who've been away for so long! In our matches, pilots unite from the USA, Europe, Australia(Razor ya cunt ♥) and now, for the first time in a while... Japan! Yes, the Japanese player base has reached out and opened diplomatic relations with the West, and they come serious and ready to play!
If you love mecha, armored warfare, or flight simulators, this game blends all of the above. 14 years later, and still one-of-a-kind.
Suit up. We hope to see you on the battlefield!

hello,, I am a new member here and I want to get involved with this. I own Steel battalion and line of contact and want to join in can anyone help me with this? or where do I go to downbload the info to hook this up to my xbox? like what do I need to do next to get ready for Wednesday? I downloaded xlink and installed it. I know where the config icon is, I just don't know what I need to do to hook to xbob and such... please help!!! |

Hey there dude! Always glad to see new recruits. So all you need to download software-wise to connect is the XLink Kai program which you can get on the main site here:

There are instructions on the teamxlink site:

That show the different cable connection methods you can do once you get the software, but I highly recommend the 2 ethernet cables configuration. One between the PC(which will have the Kai program) and the modem/router, and one between the Xbox and the modem/router.
