Hi, I am looking forward to playing xbox original games online with my xbox 360. I have an ethernet cable that is running from my xbox into a router. I have my Mac Book Pro which is running the XLink Kai software. The Mac Book Pro laptop is connected to the router wirelessly. My router is a Netgear.
Is your network reachable? Yes? not sure what this means.
Are you using a router? yes
Did you set a static IP on the PC running Kai? I do not know what that means, I tried watching tutorials and following direction but I'm lost using the MAC interface, I grew up with Windows.
Did you forward port 30000 to the static IP? I found a tutorial online on how to setup a port forward and I did.
Did you click the globe after forwarding to see if your network goes reachable? There is no globe to click on?
What console are you using? Xbox 360
Is your console being detected? No.
Brief description of your network setup: Laptop wirelessly connected to router, Xbox 360 connected to router via ethernet cable.
Model numbers of the router, and modem? Router is Netgear Nighthawk R7000. Modem is Arris CM820A
Do you use a software firewall? What brand? Have you made any changes to it? No. No. No.
Operating System? Mac OS High Sierra 10.13.3
Problem description? Not sure how to get my settup to work. New to this programming stuff, and the MAC interface.

You could try hooking up your Xbox 360 Ethernet to the computer running XLink Kai.
i won't worry about port forwarding and static IP address unless you are not reachable with peers. |
