I have the 11/11 version of XMBC with Mayhem II skin.
I go into the KAI (MY PROGRAM -> XLink Kai) screen and can cycle through the GAMES - FRIENDS - ARENAS but nothing is visible in any of those sections.
I GAMES I can flip between ARENAS and ENTER - when I click ENTER it tells me to put in a game disk.
In ARENAS section I can flip between FRIENDS and PLAY and again it asks for a CD to be put into the drive. (I can't click HOST or ADD)
In FRIENDS I can't click on anything - JOIN CHAT INVITE or REMOVE
I have done a search on this site and have not found any answers.
I do have a few games on my HD in F:/GAMES
Yes I did enter my username and password in the settings.
Thanks for any help

You sure that
a) Engine is running on a PC somewhere.
b) You've put your XTag and password into the XBMC settings? |

the next changes i check in will be n00b friendly, lots of dialogs to help you out when things go wrong, e.g. wrong xtag/password, engine detached or no engine. |

OK to answer a few of your questions
1. Yes the XLink Kai engine is on and functioning - on the computer.
2. XTag and password are correct both on the computer and in the Kai settings on the XBox.
3 I have successfully played a game (Halo 2). I entered the game by turning on the XLink Kai engine on the computer and navigating to an arena on the computer then on the XBox I went to the Halo 2 game. Via System link I found a few arenas that were open.
My XBox set-up. XBox connected to computer via XO cable. Computer connected wirelessly to home network. Connected to Internet via cable modem (Rogers in Canada)

I have read the Startup guide.
My set-up is as per the following diagram (Setup F)
<img src="http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/img/networksetup_wirelessa.png" />
When I play using the KAI UI on the PC then I can find areans and play games via KAI. In Diagnostics mode when I use the PC UI it says "Network Reachable=Yes".
Hardware being used is a USR PCI 802.11g card and a USR 802.11g wireless router.
When I turn off the UI on the PC so that I can use the UI on the XBOX then I can't see anything on the XBox - either in the UI on the XBox or when I go into System Link in Halo 2.
Updated:
In my network settings: Wireless Network Connection = Connected + Shared
On XBox I can access Internet Time, Web Radio and Weather - so I guess that my Xbox can reach the Internet |

Update - it works now
I turned off all firewalls.
I uninstalled Norton SystemWorks (no more Internet Protection)
I previously disabled Norton SystemWorks but was wondering if it was still doing anything in the background.
Now XLink KAI seems to work for me.
