Is your network reachable? Yes
Are you using a port-forward? No
Is your console being detected? No
Brief description of your network setup: 2Pcs, 1 wireless, xbox wireless
Do you use a software firewall? No
Operating System? XP
Problem description? I have a WRT54G router setup wirelessly with another PC in the house. I have my Xbox downstairs on xbox live fine currently. Network is reachable but on Xbox no games can be found nor can Kai detect my console. I'm not sure if I need to setup port-forwarding or change Kai Config because its wireless. Its hard because I have very little free time to troubleshoot and actually think!

You don't need to forward anything when you're reachable.

Keep the connection wired between the Xbox and Kai engine unless you use a ethernet bridge on the Xbox - Kai engine still wired.

Check the bit in the Quick Start Guide about 'Incompatible Wireless Network Card Setups'. Your network card drivers doesn't support promiscuous mode. You can use that other PC that's not wireless to run Kai and it should work.

Ok thanks a lot guys. I have the Xbox detected in Kai now and all seems to be fine...Only thing is I cant see any available games in system link ANything else I need to do or configure?

Now the Wireless pC connectoed to the Xbox has IP address:
192.168.0.102 and gateway 192.168.1.1.

The Xbox has Ip address 192.168.0.103 and is connected to the 2nd PC (the wireless one) via a crossover cable. The network adapter is detected in Kai. SHould the gateway be the same (192.168.1.1)? I think the problem I'm having is related to the fact that Xbox live cannot resolve my IP address or DNS anymore...Networking is obviously not one of my strong points.

Pease help Wink

I mentioned above that your wireless PC won't work (almost 99% sure of it) Confused Tell me the model, and I'll tell you if it will or won't work (will need as much info on the model, including revision date).

Yes your network might be reachable, yes your console might be detected, but 99% of WLAN drivers don't support promiscious mode. Promiscious mode is required if you want to do any sort of packet sniffing / analyzing, which is exactly what Kai - and the psSDK (Packet Sniffer SDK) - are doing.

I should probably read your posts more carefully Wink

I was just a little confused because the diagram shows it is possible...Oh well I guess I just have to rethink how my internet is hooked up right now, maybe move the cable moded downstairs.

THanks guys, you can make this resolved now.
