Hi
I'd like to be able to talk to other members in the house using kai and an xbox headset. (i know, i could just stand up from the xbox and walk over to the next room, but this is not always the best way to talk to a teenager Wink)

Is your network reachable? yes
Are you using a port-forward? yes (forwarding a different port to every pc: A:30000, B:30001, C:30002)
Is your console being detected? yes
Brief description of your network setup:
I have 4 pc's and an xbox on a switch behind a netgear rp614 router.
Do you use a software firewall? What brand? Have you made any changes to it? kerio firewall, no difference if enabled or disabled
Operating System? WinXP pro (on all pc's)
Problem description? running kai engine on 1 pc (A) is working, as soon as i start kai via the launcher on B it would attach the ui to B without starting a new engine. starting a new ui ends the engine with an error: "Your orbital server connection was lost. You will need to restart Kai. This happens for a number of reasons ...". i have tried different config-options with no success. i have not tried kai over internet yet, but i am sure it will work.

That is the default behaviour - one engine per network subnet.

Very Happy Thanx for the quick answer! Very Happy

Will there be any possibility in the future to have the option to talk over kai in the same subnet?

Possibly yes, an option to actually specify an IP you want the UI to attach from in the Kai Config. Tool Smile
