Is your network reachable? Yes
Are you using a port-forward? Yes
Is your console being detected? Yes
Brief description of your network setup: Cable modem > Belkin F5D5230-4 V1.20.003 router > PC runing Kai / Xbox - Halo 2
Do you use a software firewall? What brand? Have you made any changes to it? No
Operating System? WindowsXP Pro + SP1
Problem description? Initialy it worked ok. Played a few games all the way through. Then it started dropping out of games/losing connection and causing internet connection on PC to be lost...

Currently I can join games, then as soon as a game starts I get "game over" and find myself back at game menu with only me as a player.
Kai on the PC then crashes,
then internet connection is lost on PC.

Router needs rebooting to get any internet connection back on PC.

Please help me! Thanks

Change the KaiNIC to 2 or the network card in your computer in the XLink Kai config tool.

ok. thanks. will give that a go now and report back.

Is this just telling it specificly to use my network card and not search for one?

You know I cannot answer that and tell the truth. I just know that in most cases having the NIC in the PC selected instead of auto detect and lock usually fixes the problem with your request type

*Edit*

Mine was the same way. I had to select my NIC which resolved my problem many months ago.

usualy it just has to do with an incompatable NIC in the PC (can be a MS bridge setup)

It see's traffic on the device but is unable to switch the modes on the NIC (USB, Wireless, MS Bridged, Firewire)

That is why sometimes you need to select the NIC yourself

hmm ok. fair enough.

well thanks again.

if it helps anyone else with my problem. My PC setup is a Realtek RTL8139 NIC card, no bridge, just running as standard client.
