Is your network reachable? No
Are you using a port-forward? Yes (30000)
Is your console being detected? Yes
Brief description of your network setup: Cable Modem, Linksys Router connected to Xbox and PC
Do you use a software firewall? What brand? Have you made any changes to it? Yes. Zonealarm. Changed to accept from IP 0.0.0.1. Still not working even when disabled.
Operating System? Win 2000
Problem description? Just can't seem to get Network Reachable to change from Not Yet.

You absolutely positive you're portforwarding port 30000 UDP to the IP that runs Kai. Make *absolutely* sure
Screenshot it if you want - image hosting at http://www.imageshack.us |

I am positive. I forwarded it to IP 192.168.1.100
That's what ipconfig shows as the correct address for my PC. I even tried forwarding it to my Xbox IP 192.168.1.2, but still doesn't say Network Reachable. |

I don't know how to make a screenshot, but I will if it might help.
Do I need to enter any MAC addresses under the Wireless window in Kai Config?
What about the default gateway under my Xbox setup? Could that be incorrect? |

For "Reachable" to go to yes - you must be somewhere where their are other people.. Go idle in one of the busy arenas - it should go to yes pretty quick if its going to.

Now it says YES! I have Halo 2 searching for games on my Xbox, and I'm in arena mode searching for other Halo2 games. Once I entered an arena with other gamers, network reachable changed to YES.
However, I still can't see the available games on my Xbox screen. |

Are you in the main arena for Halo 2 when looking for games, or in a private arena? |

I tried both. No games listed on my Xbox in either arena. |

you should see games poping up
If your network is reachable and the console is detected no much more can go wrong.
Any chance you have a wireless engine running? |

Dunno what a wireless engine is. I have a wireless network (as shown above).
I tried with Halo 2 and Project Gotham 2, neither one shows any available games in system link when my PC is in any arena. |

what image are you talking about that is shown above?
What i mean is you can't have a wireless PC running kai unless the console is pluged directly into it. |

I did not know that. I have my console directly into my router, and my PC connected to the router wirelessly.
What about if I install Kai on my Xbox? Would that work better? |

You still need the engine running on a hard wire. Check the compatible network setups http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/?go=quickstart on that page and see what best fits your home network. |

I think that this is my problem. I am using an incompatible wireless setup. Would it be possible for me to run the engine off my Xbox harddrive instead of on my PC? My Xbox is connected directly to the router using a standard ethernet cable. |

Nope, but if you have a WRT54G Linksys there may be another option soon.
If not, your kinda stuck. |

That sucks. I have only one other option. I am going to try and set up a server computer to run Kai from a PC next to my Xbox in the other room. That way my PC and XB can be connected to my router via LAN. Should hopefully solve it? |
