xbmc 11-15 not working with kai UI

so i updated to a build today from the usual places and i had a previous build working from before - now i cant get the engine to recongize the UI of xbmc at all. the balloon in the systray doesnt change. is anyone else having issues? any solutions?

edit: i get this message on the screen "the service is not connected, would you like to attempt reconnection it with XMC"

recheck your XBMC IP settings...

if not delete all the save files from dash or hold START+BACK when XBMC loads up.. or reinstall the XBMC again...or wait till 2moro

extremely minor, certainly not the sort to make the application go from working to not working at all. the fixes where actually there to improve re-connection, and do not affect initial connection.

well the build i had working was from 11-11, just wanted the new features of voice and toasties.

does the logs above even help anyone out?

the logs appear fine - seems like a shutdown was executed but other than that no errors.

yea i hear ya, wish i could build them myself.. i'd know whats going on.

edit: this whole build is probably shit.. i tried the workgroups SMB and says my cpu name is not right..that shit worked before too. i thought it was cuz my cpu had a '-' in it but changed that and nothing. im going back to the other version.

OK...get this shit... turns out i put on Stupid ass norton antivirus and it has an option for internet worms that prevents this shit from hooking up... turned that shit off now it works fine!

Get rid of Norton fullstop :/ I've seen like, 40% increase in speed since removing it.
