Is your network reachable? Yes
Are you using a port-forward? No
Is your console being detected? No
Brief description of your network setup: See below
Do you use a software firewall? What brand? Have you made any changes to it? No software firewall
Operating System? XP
Problem description? Can connect and see pings but console isn't detected.
[KaiUserConfig]
kaiUsername=
kaiPassword=
kaiPort=0
kaiDeepPort=0
kaiAccept=LOCAL
kaiTimeout=NOUI
kaiNIC=2
kaiLaunch=BOTH
kaiHomebrew=OFF
kaiPAT=OFF
kaiAutoLogin=ON
kaiAllowBadNICS=OFF
kaiWireless=000D3A413A54;000F3DE1268C;
kaiUI=Default
I have a Dlink DI-624 802.11g router with the PC running Kai wired to it. The XBox is wired to a Dlink DWL-2100AP in client mode. I can connect to my XBox to FTP, etc but the console isn't detected by Kai. However, I am able to connect to the Kai server and see pings and chat.
I ran a long cable connecting the XBox directly to the DI-624 router and that worked fine so the problem is with the bridge. I tried to enter the bridge MAC and XBox MAC (a 000D3A addr) in the config but that didn't help.
Need some help with this. |

Have you tried running the wireless setup in the MS Dash
Its under settings, Network (i think)
It will test for a wireless adaptor.
if not it sounds like using the MAC filtering in kai should solve your problem.
Xbox = Real MAC
Bridge = Virtual MAC (i think this was how it was set up)
Hmm ill see if we can get them named that way in the config tool so it's not so confusing
But so you know there are *some* bridges that will just not work for an xbox in system link mode as they drop/ignore all broadcast packets from 0.0.0.1 since it's not a valid address on your network |

Well, pressing 'Help' in the Kai Config. Tool would be a wise move, but I suppose nobody does it :/
It says in there which is which. |
