Is your network reachable? yes
Are you using a port-forward? no
Is your console being detected? yes
Brief description of your network setup: cable modem > D-link router > pc and xbox hooked up to router.
Operating System? WindowsXP home + SP2
Problem description?: When i start up xlink Kai either immidiatly or soon after my PC becomes unstable and crashes. I also cannot see other games on my x-box but i can host one (untill it crashes)

sorry also -- Do you use a software firewall? What brand? Have you made any changes to it? only the windows firewall..

Okay first off I would change the KaiNIC from =0 to =2 which should be the NIC in your computer. I would also go to the drivers for your NIC and update them using Microsoft.com as a search to ensure you are on the most current drivers for your card. Report back if this resolves the problem.

erm how do you change the kaiNIC from =0 to =2 sorry Embarassed

and i use the onboard network card on my motherboard

Change it in the XLink Kai config tool. Start/Programs/XLink Kai/XLink Kai config tool

Then change the NIC from auto detect and lock to the NIC in your PC.

well that seems to have done the trick.... my PC hasent become unstable so far and i just gosted a game thx alot Very Happy

but one more thing i cant seem to see other games to join on my x-box .. any sugestions ?
