Is your network reachable? YES
Are you using a port-forward? YES
Is your console being detected? YES
Brief description of your network setup:Cable modem to router to pc and xbox
Do you use a software firewall? XP disabled What brand? Have you made any changes to it?
Operating System? XP
Problem description?
I can not seem to either join or host any halo2 games. Everything comes up but i don't see any games and no one sees mine if I host one. All of my other games work just fine. I can join or host any others but its a no go with halo2.
Any suggestions?

If every other game but Halo 2 works, then you'd think it's some sort of Halo 2 issue. You didn't mention anything about a firewall however..
Halo 2's last Live update has not rendered any compatibility issues between patched and non-patched users. |

I have XP firewall disabled because I am using a D-Link 604 router with port 30000 forwarded. That is all I have no other firewall programs. |

Maybe something with your copy of Halo 2. With a DI-604, you don't need to portforward if I recall, so you can remove the portforward and also set Kai Port to 0. Shouldn't make a difference considering network reachable = yes, but who knows.
Clear out your cache on the XBox if you can (X, Y, Z drives).
Update: User did not respond within 5 days. Setting to Problem Solved. |
