I keep all my games in hddloader dir, less fuzz. and no need to rename dirs.. seeing it does indeed read the game name from the .xbe =)

On another note, just saw runtime had done a update to the cvs, compileing a new build now to see if that changes anything on my random "BSOD" & hangs upon IGR.

MGranada; will let ya know if;
- 14-11-2004 fixed: Reconnection to Kai engine after disconnection.

does change anything.. the build I compiled pre to that fix had those random hickups..

Zeth i know it would work if i set it to F:\hddloader. What i am saying is that some of my games are in that directory and some are in F:\games. Since i cant put in two folder names in the kai settings i am going to have to put them all in one folder. If just scanned all directories for .xbe and if the .xbe was a game supported by kai it appeared that would make my situation not a problem. Its really no big deal though like i said i can just rename games and move them.

yeah.. seeing how I tend to use hddloader more than I ftp/avanetprep over a game I have set hddloader as the only xgames dir. less fuzz in configs all around Wink

A bit early to cheer yet, but done 10 tests of the newly built 14/11 incl the last fix runtime commited. And no bsod/hang so far.. will continue to test throughout the evening =)

Ive installed the 14-11-2004 xbmc .

- Kay is working with all stuff avatars, etc

the only problem i have is that the arenas dont show the number of users there (zero on all the arenas), but when i enter the arenas i can see sub arenas and users and pings and everybody´s avatars, etc.
this didn´t happen in the previous 11-11-2004 version.

And another thing is that the arenas tree its a little bit mixed up (everything out of order)

I didn´t test yet playing a game.

Try using F:\Games Rolling Eyes

This is a weird problem, I know, but I've got everything running and everything seems perfect, but when I enter the Americas arena and press Play (this is on Halo 2), the games don't show up in the syslink menu.

First, yes there is a way. Edit the XboxMediaCenter.xml under the section "MyPrograms" where you will find your existing "F:\games" and enhance it by something like "F:\games,F:\hddloader". XBMC will scan all these folders. I think this is mentioned in the remarks of the .xml file as well.

But it might be that your games won't show up under KAI in xbmc. This is like someone else stated before in this thread, that an ID is missing in the KAI part of the xbmc code. I think the games listed in the KAI section are depending on existing save games - and their unique IDs. So if you have a save game of HALO on your box and start up KAI under xbmc it will show up on the screen under games. You might have an existing StarWars Battlefront save game on your box but it won't show up as it's ID is not included - yet!

I'll get a list of XBE IDs we require later tonight and post them up in the forum so people can give them to us.

Cheers.

That would be great, dfunked. Halo 2 is not found by XMBC with build 14-11 on my xbox, so this list could possibly help. Cool

It should be. I've put up both NTSC and PAL Halo 2 XBE IDs. If there are others, then what the hell? :/

Just wanted to let you know that this problem has fixed itself. All working smoothly now. Don't know why, but i *think* it got fixed when making xbmc the default dashboard instead of starting it from evox?

Anyway, sorry for the confusion.
