Is your network reachable? Yes
Are you using a port-forward? Dont think so
Is your console being detected? NO!
Brief description of your network setup: 2 Network Cards (Setup D)
Do you use a software firewall? What brand? Have you made any changes to it? All turned off
Operating System? Windows XP
Problem description? Tried using both Windows Internet Connection Sharing and Winroute, but both Xlink and xbconnect dont detect my xbox. Im sure im using the right cables and its setup correctly, as I frequently ftp to my xbox. The only thing I can think of is Im connecting at a University dormitory, and that may be affecting it somehow. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Do you see your NIC that the XBox is hooked up to in the Kai Config. Tool?
Currently you've got it on autodetect and don't lock, but just choose the NIC that the XBox is hooked up to instead. Also, tick 'Allow Dangerous NICs'.
If you don't see the NIC in the list after all this, you ran some sort of reg. cleaner that killed off some psSDK entries.

Well, it detects both my network cards, so i tried locking the one connected to the xbox, but that didnt fix it... not sure what that registry thing is or how it could help. Thanks again.. |

You say all firewalls turned off. What firewall we talking about here? Turning firewalls off does not mean ports become unblocked in most cases. |
