I like the game, but no body plays it...also what are your other favorites that don't lag? I'm trying to find something else to play other than Halo - it's just killing my soul. I'd say I get a decent game 25% fo the time. So what else is great on line? |

I love crimson skies....
but for a player like me its all about timing...i am usually not playing when others are, because i sometimes have a weird schedule. so when i cant find anyone for a game on xlink, i'll head to live to get my fix.
i dig any clancy games or racing games, old or new
midtown 3 can be a blast with 6 people! |

it depends what kind of mood im in.
If i want to relax you cant beat a game of Links 2004, while chating to a friend online. (but its difficult to get a game due to ping issues)
If i want thrills, I play Project Gotham 2 or RallySport Challange 2
If im feeling competitive. i give topspin a spin.
I also like playing Rainbow Six 3.
but at the end of the day i'll play anything |

Project Gotham Racing 2 is the only one I've tried so far but damn it's fun... very rare I experience any lag |

I will play Crimson Skies, but you have to give me some notice on when you want to play. Its hard for me to turn Rainbow Six 3 off if you know what I mean |

Well for me the later the better. I work from 3-11pm EST and get home about midnight. Off on Sundays and Mondays (For football) so anytime on those days, but not this Sunday because of the RS3 tourney. Keep me in the loop. |

I just had to add to the conversation (very relevant to the original post).
Thus far, I've had interesting success with Xlink. Certainly some games performed better than others, but overall, it's pretty impressive... until I got to play two games: Top Spin and Crimson Skies. For the sake of "on topic", I'll keep the conversations on Top Spin for another day.
Ok, so what about Crimson Skies? Well, nothing, NOTHING prepared me for the 8 player games we had last night. That's 8 players of no-lag gameplay, with a game that has awesome graphics and some damn fine game modes (team based games? chicken? LOL). To top it off, the headset support is very good too, so there's nothing like yelling out "I'm right on his tail" before blowing the @$%@Q$ to kingdom Come! eheh
Naturally, it's possible your own online experience will defer from mine. Maybe it was luck that we all had pretty good ping rates? I don't know. All I know is that if I had to give a score for fun factor, last night's main event of blasting the crap out of each other scored a solid 10!
People, MAKE TIME FOR THIS GAME! Do yourself a favor and check out the lobby. |
