Is your network reachable? Yes
Are you using a port-forward? No
Is your console being detected? No
Brief description of your network setup: wireless router, wireless to PC, simple hub b/w PC and xbox
Do you use a software firewall? What brand? Have you made any changes to it? Norton Firewall 2002
Operating System? WindowsXP Pro + SP1
Problem description? Xlink launches engine but not UI, and if I double-click in xlink icon in taskbar, it goes away. XBconnect works fine, so its not the network. I just don't know what to do, because there is no UI. Sometimes, xlink crashes on startup (windows error). xlink config works fine.

kaiDeepPort=0
kaiAccept=ALL
kaiTimeout=NOUI
kaiNIC=2

kaiHomebrew=OFF
kaiPAT=OFF
kaiAutoLogin=OFF

kaiUI=Default
Please help me! Thanks Smile |

Looks like an old version to me. Few lines missing from the config file.
Do the whole uninstall, delete program files folder, re-download, re-install, auto-update procedure.
Few things you should note: you say you've got a wireless PC. You sure this WLAN card has promiscious mode support? What model card is it? You said it works on XBC so I presume it does.
One thing I'd like you to do before deleting and uninstalling is check if a kaiUI.exe exists in the installation folder. If not, you've got some downloading issues on your end that the procedure I wrote above should sort out. |

Cool, thanx.
I didn't have to worry about the UI after all, because I just integrated the engine into XBMC. Thanks again. |
