Yeah it is to do with the wireless somewhere (it does support promis. mode) though.. You could try etherealing the connection and looking for anything from 0.0.0.1 on 3074 UDP? Are you running any 'worm protection' stuff by any chance.. |

3- My Ethernet Cable Network Card Intel Pro 100VE have this MAC: (00:0D:60:22:12:52) crossover connection to XBOX (ping good, Xbox surf internet, ecc.)
4- I've use Spybot search & Destroy to search a worm and immunize my system. My Norton Antivirus Enterprise Edition 2005 is disable.
5- I've already try to connect with another network card PCI Realtek, and connect directly to a router with a CAT5 cable (no wireless) but nothing , all connection good but don't see any game.

Norton Antivirus 2005 has 'Worm Protection' thing. You'll probably have to disable that permanently - it's pathetic anyway.. |

naa don't change your xbox MAC your MAC is valid
Im going to ask you to give up on getting the wireless to work for now and stick with a wired solution.
we are trying way to many things, we need to stick to one path and take it to the end. Then we can try other options.
OK here is how i want it wired up.
Xbox Wired to PC
PC Wireless to Router
Kaiconfig should have the NIC connected to the xbox selected and the port your using put in.
Router should have a port forward to the IP of the wireless card in the pc.
Let me know what happens. |

EHM Die this is the configuration i've on...
PC with 2 network cards:
1- Wireless --> Router
2- Cable---> Xbox (crossover)
and Router is configured with Port Forward:
Public IP( Router )---->Wireless (local IP)
I've use Network Monitor to see traffic Packet, and i've noted the ip traffic on LAN 0.0.0.1:3074 go from XBOX to PC, but don't go from PC to XBOX, i think this is the problem i 've.
Xbox send packet to PC, but don't receive nothing....
Static route is the solution? |

Are there specific revisions on that DLink wireless card, where some have different chipsets that might not support promiscious mode? |

Hello Hello!!
i have made an accurate test of the net and i have noted that, when i use xbconnet, the packets coming from the pc are sent to the xbox correctely.
I can see all the incoming and outgoing packets from the consolle and the pc.
When i use kai, the packets go only from xbox to pc but not viceversa. I think the problem is in the kai program which can not address correctely the packets.
With this monitoring program i have seen that the packets coming from pc and addressed to consolle go on the protocol netbios-ns 137.
Through this netbios-ns 137 xbconnet communicates with the ip address 0.0.0.1, on the other hand kai sends the packets on public ips.
So there might be a problem with kai programm. If u want i can give u the software to control the net and check what's happening on ur pc when kai is on.
thanks! |

actually you're not seeing things correctly there. Port 137 is a reserved port used for the netbios name service, as you can see by looking at the IANA registry available at this link:
http://www.iana.org/assignments/port-numbers
The data you're seeing is actually the client resolving a server name on the network in order to communicate. This happens with each connection made between the 2 computers which is why you see a lot of this type of communication, especially running xbc as that's a part of their programming. Xlink doesn't use the netbios port. We know what the communications between the xbox and PC look like - many of us have experience with protocol analyzers and some of us work in the real world as protocol developers (/wave TD).
The problem is actually with your Zyxel Prestige router. I had worked with a user to get one working for over 2 weeks with no luck. I'm an advanced network engineer who has worked on this stuff for over 15 years and I couldn't get it working. I posted a message in our forums looking for anyone who had successfully gotten one of the Zyxel routers to work and in 3 months nobody replied that they had.
Apparently nobody here uses the Zyxel - and that's most likely because it just will not work with Kai. |

If XBC WORKS, KAI WILL WORK!
set your kaiport to 8602 im assuming you already have a port forward set for xbc so we will just use the same port for kai
also do this
Quote: |
Start Regedit (start menu, run, type "regedit" and hit enter). Hit Ctrl + F, and search for "IPEnableRouter". When you find it set the Value Data from 0 to 1 (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\Tcpip\Parameters). Press ok, and close regedit. Reboot the pc. |
see what happens |

Thanks for you're explanation SS-Cyber, unfortunately i think you're right, i 've tryed all option in my router Prestige 650HW, but nothing....
Die-Hard, i've already done it !!! but nothing appears on my xbox, Damn!!!I've monitored all the traffic, the problem still with packet sent from KAI server to my XBOX, they stop on pc.
Ex:
XBCONNECT
XBOX---->PC----->Router----->XBC Server--->Router--->PC---->xbox
XLink KAI
stop
XBOX---->PC----->Router----->XBC Server--->Router--->PC ???? xbox
I've already tried to change a network card (all cabled) and to connect the pc and the xbox directely to Router,nothing happened....
THX for all, i've lost the hope |

XBOX---->PC----->Router----->Other Gamers--->Router--->PC---->xbox
That is actually how it works nothing really is passed to the servers when the gaming is taking place.
The fact your pinpointing the problem as PC TO XBOX should rule out the router being an issue.
I dunno what else to say, i will stick by my statement of if XBC works Kai will work too.
Try uninstalling/deleting and then reinstalling kai.
Make sure you have admin rights on your pc or the psSDK can not be installed properly.
Make sure you have edited your registry as described.
Make sure you select the NIC your console is connected to in kaiconfig.
It's a bit to far for me to come do it for you but maybe i can do a remote desktop or VNC sometime to have a look for myself. |
