(notice the lack of caps and multiple exclamation marks for you sensitive types... )
Yes the lag issues are still rampant (in halo...the netcode donkey), but this is understandable as getting it to run smoothly is as challenging as it can be to play. The community aspect of kai is flourishing...people are communicating and friendly. My only request would be for a more obvious pm notification, but otherwise everything is working smoothly for most of those online in record time.
TD and friends, this program is mozart-brilliant! |

Thanks
Yeah - we've had a couple of suggestions for PM notifications.. im thinking maybe some sort of beep (as a .wav file so it can be customised?).
Would be nice to have some other visual notification - any suggestions?

small pop up window like when you get a PM in the forum? system tray icon flash with message like in ICQ? The top where it says XLink Kai Evolution VII add " - You have 0 messages", then whan you get a pm from someone it could read "You have 1 message"
The wav sound file is good too.
Feel free to use any you like. |

anything that flashes a little bigger would be perfect. A customizable sound would work too, but only if it was in the enabled in the default configuration (with the option to customize and mute if you want)...If its an option that has to enabled first, i bet more than half the people would overlook it altogether. Maybe i'm not sure how this pm thing works... what happens to a pm message that is sent by someone then they go offline line before you can see it? If you can't see them as a current online user (on the left side), then I assume the message is never received. If you can only receive pms from people while they are online (unless they are in your contact list), then simply having their whole box flash instead of just the tiny icon would be good.
Another feature in messenger is the add contact request you can send to another user (whether they are offline or not) that they will see when they connect, is there anyway to implement something like that? |

Would be cool if a few irc type / commands were put in. Example:
/msg <handle> <Message>
/msg TheDaddy Hi.
And other stuff like that.
And also a personal ignore list. To ignore any chat text from specified handles. |
