I'm new to wi-fi and I need to know if my Asus wi-fi PCI card will work and run with Kai...

I was told that I need to have the card and PSP in Ad Hoc mode, but if I do this the wi-fi card in the PCI slot can't be bridged to the network card do that it can detect my external broadband router. I have tried setting up a default gateway manually, but to no avail.

Setup: -
Router wired to network card - PCI Wireless - PSP

How do I link the network card and PCI card without bridging them together??
PLEASE HELP

hi
i recommend reading the posts by cphoenix (especially this one). at the end of the thread you can find a very detailed description about a working configuration
you don't need to bridge any of your network cards. the one with the cable attached will get it's ip/subnet and stuff by your router. you have to configure your wifi card manualy (network connections inside control panel), assign it a private ip address (eg. 192.168.0.10) and subnet matching the one of your other network card (probably 255.255.255.0).

that should be it. as you can see from alot of posts in this forum, everyone is playing around with settings and wifi-cards to find a solution by trial and error.

good luck

sometimes a little logic would help....

of course they are in the SAME computer, they NEED to be in the same computer. how do you think you comp gets connected to the internet (by wire or wifi) and to your psp (by wifi) at the same time without the two cards being in the same comp...

ps. crossposting isn't considered good behaviour
