I just started using this on my newly modded xbox.
I connect my xbox to my computer with a crossover cable to a 2nd nic. and my computer connects directly to the modem.
I connect fine, and find games in Kai fine, but when I click the play option, and go into system link and search for games (this has happened at the same point in three different games) my engine crashes on the computer.

Manually select the NIC in the Kai Config. Tool - these are NOT XBMC issues - you should have searched the Kai Support forums before posting here.
And you should also be following the Quick Start Guide by USING THE PC FIRST!
