Thought that I'd go and get slaughtered as per usual in the Halo2 arena, except that XBMC refuses to connect. This has been working in the past, nothing has changed configuration wise.....
If I configure Kai to run the GUI on the PC, it works!! Does anyone else have this happening or is it just my setup? Thought I'd ask here before Trashing everything and re-ftping XBMC. |

first things first make sure you have as new as possible version of XBMC. Youre engine would be 7.0.5.4. |

Correct version is installed. It just stopped working........
The xbox has internet connection, I can ftp to it, run Kai the old fashioned way (PC running the GUI).
I have just trashed XBMC (and all my bloody scripts - doh), ftp'd it back over and still the same. The PC states that the engine has started, but does not connect to any server. Wierd as this works, as I have said earlier, in the normal mode. I've tried adding the UDP port, removing the port (in both the engine and router before anyone asks), PAT and without PAT, etc.
I am completely puzzled. The only difference is that I'm running XP Pro SP2 after my iPod trashed the 2k install. I'll reinstall 2k I think and try that again.
Any suggestions are very welcome before the XBOX goes out the window! |

Definately set for dashboards.
Just put 2k back on the machine, working again. So there must be something with the XP/SP2 install...........
Was kinda hoping that this worked as it's ruled out my Network gear. Was beginning to go around and round in circles.
Laptop (Kai Engine) & Xbox into cheap hub with Wet11 in Uplink Port
Linksys WAP11 Access Point
Linksys BEFSR41 Router
DLINK 300G+ ADSL Modem
Thanks for you help anyway guys. |

Thanks for your reply, installed 2k again. Working perfectly again now.
Bloody M$!!! Then again, if it wasn't for them, I wouldn't have an XBOX....
Thanks again, NocturnaL |
