ive been into modding for a while now... but iam under the impression that with XBMC you do NOT need your comp to tunnel the game info... is this tru or am i just misunderstanding the point of xlink kai?

Well you are close Ok its like this. If you use xbmc you dont need to use the computer gui. I personally prefer the xbmc gui to the computer gui (no offense to tx ). So if you are using xbmc u can run the engine only on your comp and just walk away, then you dont have to run back and forth.
If you want a completely PC free setup you will need a router that can be flashed with the kai engine. Then the engine will always be running even if you dont have a computer.
