I don't know if your planning to do this or not yet, but could u please consider posting a step by step faq (with pictures) of exactly how to set up Xlink Kai wirelessly with a PSP. I have a Linksys Router and USB Lan Card and it finds my network but it doesn't find my system in diagnostics. I'm so dissappointed because I really wanted to play online =( Any help to get this system up and running would be greatly appreciated.

P.S.
Also, who got there system up and running with Kai? If u would be so kind, post and let us PSP'ers know so we could direct questions to you instead of asking the board in general.

1. Get a compatible wireless network card (sticky)
2. Go to PSP arena
3. Set up PSP network settings (I have no idea how, none of us have one)
4. Load game, go to multiplayer menu. Search for games - check Kai Diagnostics if PSP is detected and configured.

http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/?go=quickstart really - it's no different. Only thing I don't know is what you need to set on the PSP network settings..

Hi DanteYosimoto,

I was in the same arena room as you the other night. I have got my PSP connected to Kai in that checking the diagnostics I see :

Network Reachable: Yes
Sony PSP Configured Successfully.

I have started up Ridge Racer and chose Wireless Battle. It appears there are two options, 1 to host a game and the other to join in. Whichever I choose my PSP never finds any other players even though some are there in the room.

So I presume my setup is ok but I still cannot get a game going!!

Some things to check on your machine. I turned off my firewall. I also had to port forward on my router. I just choose 30000 UDP. Make sure in Kai config you also specify the port if you try this out.

Good luck !

Russ.

I get both Network Reachable and that the Sony PSP was successfully configured however, windows reports as the wireless network isn't receiving any packets. Therefore, I would assume that its still not commucating properly with my wireless card.

A Japanese website reports that the LINKSYS WPC54GS-JP does work properly, so I will go out and buy the WPC54GS (UK model) and try that.
I'll report back later when ive test it out.

For reference, my setup is :

Netgear WGT624 wireless router.
Kai running on Toshiba P20-504 laptop with built-in wireless card.

I'm sorry we cannot provide more information - truth is, not one admin or mod here has *any idea whatsoever* how to configure the wifi cards for PSP..

I've tried like hell to get hold of one of these PSP's - I'm happy to pay upto like $300 US for one, but so far, nobody has come forward and offered anything.

Until I get my hands on one, I'm afraid you're on your own :/
