Hi everyone,
Couldn't find a specific answer to this, so here goes. I have just started using kai. I run the engine and the ui under XP and have both my xboxes (one wired, one wireless) running XBMC. I prefer not running the engine only profile on the PC, as I like the chat bit and find it more reliable. However, is it normal for the kai ui to vanish when the XBMC ui is recognised?? - also if I start the Xbox, then run up kai (engine and ui) on the PC I can navigate and chat quite happily, but once I start a game on the Xbox the ui on the PC vanishes again. I have a feeling you're going to tell me this is just the way it is - but it would be mint if the ui stayed where it was regardless of what was done on the Xbox
Cheers

If you're going to use the UI on your PC, then there's no point to even go into XBMC's Kai portion, just start your game normally. |

If you're using XBMC in Kai, there can only be one UI, so the PC UI is closing everytime XBMC runs. If you don't want this to happen, but you use XBMC as your dashboard or whatever, set 'Engine IP' in the Kai settings (Settings - My Programs - XLink Kai) to some nonsense value. This will stop the XBMC UI from trying to attach to the Kai Engine all the time. |
