8 PS2's on TS2

I think the words spreading now and a lot of people are getting this download. Us at ukpe have began playing Timesplitters 2 again and have a question.

TS2 is allows up to 16 player on LAN.
I know it is possible with 4 people on each of 4 PS2's.
But it is supposed to allow 8 PS2's each with 2 people on.

Is it possible to play with more than 4 PS2's, Has anyone succeded.

Theoretically this should work perfectly - TS2 is very tight with its use of bandwidth, and good at handling latency..

Let me know how you get on with bigger games, if there are problems, we'll look into them.

According to the official TS2 website you should be allowed either 4x4 or 8x2 for 16 player gaming. I suppose we'll just have to test when we get enough people to test.

We have had quite a few 4 player games with no lag at all. I am asking the question as we had a 4 player game waiting to start and somebody in the arena was unable to find the game.

Hmm i see - thats more likey an issue on their end - were they PAL and you NTSC? Could they see a "successfully configured" PS2? in their performance panel?

Are they able to play in other, non 4 ps2 games?

Other than that - maybe the 16 players max on ts2 = 4 ps2 x 4 players? I'm gonna rent it again and take a look...

After testing today it seems that 4 PS2s is the limit. The 5th could not find the game repeatedly Sad

Sorry, tryed to split this thread up in some logical manner, but its gone slightly wrong.

But it does seem to make some sense, sorry if anyones posts got accidently lost.
