xbmc-2005-01-02 and just downloaded xlinkkaievo7 - WindowsXP version

Using port 30000, forwarded to PC.

Very Happy Setup Kai as normal and I can connect properly on the PC.

Confused Setup Kai as engine only. when attempting to connect through XBMC I get username/password rejected by obital server.

I tried changing all the settings in the Kai config including changing to all of the recommended ports. But I could never get Kai to connect through the XBMC.

Idea The only way I found to connect through XBMC is to setup Kai as normal (except never close engine) and then tell XBMC to connect. The GUI on the PC disappears and everything then works through the XBMC. It looks like since the GUI logs me in and I keep the engine from closing. I am then able to run Kai from the XBMC.

This works but I am stumped as to why I can't get it to work as an engine only.

2 choices,

1.) Put your username+pass into kaiConfig on the PC, tick AutoLogin..

2.) Add your username+password to XBMC - you can put it into the config in XBMC's UI.

100% sure you've entered them in right in the settings in XBMC? No extra spaces or whatever? Case sensitive password remember..

Sure on the name & password.

When it didn't work I did it very carefully three times with the same results.

Right now the same name and PW are in XBMC and on the PC.

I will try to do some more reading. I must have done something wrong. But I sure don't know what.
