I pretty sure this has been suggested before (i can't take credit for it), But I think it would greatly improve the user experience if in the private arena box on the left it displayed the moderators ping and upload bw (an extra entry in the private arena creation window would be easier to enter bw than the profile entry because in the profile your number options are too limited) along with a little blurb in the arena box that recommends what these values should be to improve your chances of a game with less lag. Please listen! i'm sure this would help immensely! |

you already have an opinion, wouldnt you prefer someone elses ... lol
anyway, I think you have a good idea.
its a pity that a lot of people got the wrong idea about what should go in the upload speed box when they signed up, as i know of many people who put there down speed instead.
So perhaps just the ping, and the info button, so you can click on it and find out the country plus other info about the PA creator.
anyway, thats just my opinion, most the games I play I like to just be in the main game arena and join and host from there. |

Yeah, I agree with that. There's so many people that have put their download in the upload box that it's hard to tell who has what most of the time. Ping would be very good though, it'd definitely make finding a game easier for me |

It's one of those things which would only be much good for Halo.. I mean, most other games dont depend on the upload bandwidth of the host - because they use p2p networking.
I'll look into it though - dont think its a big job to put it in - so I would think it would happen in one of the next few autoupdates..

Absolutely true, and, at any given time, halo makes up what percentage of total gamers on kai??? |

Here, here!!
Great suggestion!!
Or perhaps a way to set a "Ping minimum" with a 20% grace for intermittent fluxuations.
Cheers! |

I've checked this out tonight - and it a go ... not sure about next update (wanna release new engine for lag issues and new UI for favourites / speex in arena / invites) first - but its certainly gonna happen.
Cheers
