Please try the new engine in the Bleeding Edge forum - it contains a number of fixes which will improve your experience when using XBMC from a stability point of view.
Let me know your thought - in here please - not in the Bleeding Edge forum..

Got it running here, well keep you updated.
Update:
Lost connection to an orb few mins back, was only down for 10 secs, then re-connected.
Im pretty sure that an orb connection loss would of crashed the engine before. So its looking good.
