Has anyone heard of any new lan games comming out. I know there is a debate whether Timesplitters 3 and star fox 2 will have it. Have you all heard any other games that might have lan?

I've heard a lot of different things about TS3:FP having LAN. Check the TS3 gamefaqs forums?

I wrote to Nintendo this morning putting a general request in for more LAN/Broadband enabled games:

Quote:
Dear Nintendo,

I am a gamecube owner and am very happy with the console and the games. I am just writing to say I really like LAN feature available on Mario Kart and the Internet feature on Phantasy Star Online however I am a bit disapointed with the lack of games to make use of both the internet and LAN with my broadband adapter. I think if you made more games that made use of this technology you would sell a lot more and create a much more enjoyable gaming experience.

This is their quick but disapointing response:

Quote:
Dear Customer, thank you for your e-mail.

Unfortunately the information gleaned from other sources does not agree with your supposition. The number of games capable of on line gaming have not proved to be as popular as you would imagine at this time. This may change in the future of course and I am sure that Nintendo as well as others will rise to the occasion.

Kind regards,

Your Nintendo Team

I reckon the more pressure we put on them the more likely they are to put out some more online compatible titles.

I've pretty much given up on Nintendo to make LAN games. It was "confirmed" by IGN that Super Monkey Ball 3 would have LAN, but that was at E3 2003, and we've heard nothing about the game since then, and I think Star Fox: Assault was "confirmed" to have LAN by IGN as well, and we know it won't. I say just wait for ControlSim, it'll be a much better experience than the slow games we get with LAN-mode tunneling.
