Anyone know about the PS2 harddrive Linux kit?

I was wondering if it can be formated to be a normal PS2 harddrive? Then formated again to linux?
I dont think i need a linux ps2 full time Wink just to play around with.

Yes from what I have read, All you need is the HDD Utility disk which comes in the Final Fantasy+HDD package to format it for games (And add the special bios thingy).

hmmmm k i want to get the harddive and bba but dont care for ff10 so i thought the linux kit might be a good way to go, gives me something more to play with too.

those forums are sure messy, hope i can find the answer.

Well i found out that it can be formated for either linux or ps2 gaming, so i went ahead and got one!
