This is a XLink/XBMC problem.

I've got XLink running on my computer, and it works fine. Can play games and such (using Kai from my computer). I just updated my XBMC and was hoping to play Kai from my box.

Unfortunatly I keep getting the error....

The service is not connected, would you like to try reconnecting it with XBox Media center?

No matter how long I wait, and click yes, it fails. Yes, Kai is running on my computer, and is working. Also, "Engine only (for dashboards)". As well as accept UI connections from any IP address.

Could have sworn this would help....nothin'

I've followed every guide and searched every thread! I'm pullin my hair out here! Confused

The Fix

Looks like alot of people are having this problem, and it can range from one thing to another. I went into my XBMC/Avalaunch settings, and changed the IP address from 192.168.0.2 (Why was it detecting that?) to 192.168.1.102 (What it SHOULD be FOR ME <will differ on your network>). Now it works! Not sure why this fixed it, as XBMC was transferring data from the internet before....
