It's probably because of PAL-NTSC...
PAL can play only with PAL, NTSC with NTSC.

hey are yall talking about the game not launching through xbmc, because if you are all you have to do is go in to the arena then hit the back button and go to programs and launch the game, its a vector problem xlink uses a file in xbmc that tells it what to launch by the save game number called kai-vectors.xml in the /E/apps/XBMC/ directory they havent updated it yet you might beable to maually im workin on this now

if it wont launch in xbmc you need to add

<title id="0X5553003c">
<vector>Arena/XBox/First Person Shooter/Brothers in Arms</vector>
</title>

to the bottom of your kai-vectors.xml file in the E/apps/XBMC/ directory before the </titles>

yes there are apparent region issues regarding some versions of the game.

there are PAL and NTSC versions about and they dont work together.

check that part with whom you are playing with.

Ok
that helped me be able to launch through xbmc but I am still unable to join.

try creating a private arena inside the main brothers in arms arena, and on the description put the version of your game (ie PAL or NTSC), and if others w/ the same version will join.

havent confirmed this game actually has the PAL-NTSC version conflict, but ya'll say it is, so..
