First, thank you for helping.
I tried to follow all the steps, but the PSP help is lacking (its new, so I know why).
I am at the point of 'No console detected'.
It finds my public IP and says network is reachable.
I put Need For Speed in my PSP, went to head to head and its 'searching for other players'.
I have already setup my PSP through my wireless router WRT54G and checked the connection...it works fine.
What did I do wrong?
Thanks again,
Erik

Do you use a software firewall? What brand? Have you made any changes to it? No

if your using the WRT54GS router, the easiest way to use the psp would to download this firmware and run kai engine on your router, http://www.angelfire.com/trek/ahman/
i use this to play psp and host games, it works like a charm. |

either that or this:
1. PSP Wirelessly connected to your wireless card on your computer. Then your computer hard wired to your router. then your router is hard wired to your modem.
the option with the firmware and the router seems to be the easiest way to get your psp running. I got about 15 people up and running with it today without any problems. |

Ok. I installed the firmware.
I enabled it. Put in username/password
Left everything else default. It says the engine is running.
Now when I open XLink it says:
Network not reachable yet.
What happened, it was reachable before?

AutoLogin: enable
Interface: eth1
then click on kaid at the top. Start KAID. Put your psp into hosting game mode. Scan psp until it has found it.
Then go to kai config startup, only startup the UI. Then startup kai and it should be running.
Make sure psp is on adhoc auto. |

Interface: eth1 - what is this?
Put your psp into hosting game mode. Scan psp until it has found it. - I am in NFS looking for WiFi games...is this right?
Good news is it now finds the network (PC) but the PSP is not listed as a console.

Put RR in...hosting mode. It is 'waiting for entries'.
Strange thing...Kai found my Xbox...problem is my Xbox has never been connected to my network.
Any ideas, I still can't get online with the PSP?
Thanks,

I need the following info for that connection:
LAN CARDs(on Computer!) settings: IP, mask, Gateway
Router IP
PSP MAC or IP...
if Your're Using auto settings for LAN cards and PSP I will need Router full network settings: IP, mask, gateway.
If You don't know what to post, check in Your ISP documentation(You must heve one copy). There U will see IP, gateway, dns address. I dont need dns, only IP and Gateway. |

a tip .. uninstall , i repeat uninstall mcafee antivirus and or norton antivirus.. not just disable , it makes a difference.. since alot of you may be new to kai and the whole tunnelling scene you missed the news .. pssdk gets blocked and doesn't allow for your console to be detected, its not a virus .. this effects both xbc and kai .. xbc does have winpcap as a fallback if the pssdk driver is blocked thus the reports from a few that it works there and not here .. hope this helps .. |

I use neither. No software firewall of any kind either.
