softmodding an xbox

Ok. I have an xbox I am looking to softmod. I went to the usual places, got PBL, an X2 bios, and the audio st.db file, and the MA exploit. I run the MA exploit and get into PBL. from there, I bring up flashFXP and attempt to put the PBL files into the E drive. E-drive reads/writes OK. Now, I was told to put the X2 bios into a bios dir. in the E root...... There isnt one. Do I create one? I have already put the st.db in the xbox audio folder in the Y drive I believe (not up ATM.)

i used this method. everything is atuomatic and fairly idiot proof. the only hard part is the hot swap.

EDIT: the xboxhdm tool will also be very helpfull if you want to upgrade to a larger hd, i can tell you more about that if you want.

But anyway, you need to get one of these games:

- Splinter Cell
- 007: Agent Under Fire
- MechAssault (1)

Then fly over to xbins, and get a package, most likely one of "ldots" ones.

You will need to get this onto your xbox somehow, its a hacked gamesave that you can use your memory card and some kind of action replay device OR get a mate with an already hacked box to place it onto a memory card.

But it sounds like you have FTP access anyway so Wink

By the way, you are WAY where you are now. For a start the st.db audio hack is years old. You NEED to be using UDE/UXE now.

Have fun.... If you dont fancy using a package you could do it manually but from what you have said, stick with a package Wink

ive already been to XS, and all the tuts arent really helping me at all. Also, ive found the forums to be non-noobie helping even though they have one forum dedicated to it. I see maybe 10 ppl helping there and all the others flaming there.kinda hoping that maybe you all wouldnt be like taht and actaully give me a hand.

MA gamesave loads MXM (media x menu)
go to E:/
nothing there, but it is being read.

Im using FlashFXP and now I have to figure out how to get the bios and now the audio folder back on. Confused

Any help?
