I just tried hosting a game of mario kart with two other people, and my GC is successfully configured in Kai, but when I went into LAN link, it wouldn't recognise the other users trying to join.
I've got my GameCube connected to my laptop with a crossover cable, and my laptop is wirelessly connected to my Linksys WAG54G router.
Any suggestions? I'll probably try just joining a game too, but if anybody could help that would be great.

It's ok, I got it fixed now. I turned off my firewall (zone alarm) and that seemed to do the trick.
