I got my PSP on December 12, it's launch date in Japan, and it was cool to have it almost 4 months before everyone else Smile.....but now there are tons of scratches on the screen Evil or Very Mad!!!!!!! and I don't know how to get rid of them!!!!....I tried iCleaner, but it didn't work.....so, anyone have any ideas? (btw, the scratches slightly distort the image Sad)

DONT READ IF YOU DONT WANT 2

Hey same thing happend to me. I was walking in New York and had my Grand Tourismo Strap on it then i noticed it when I found a Guy at Sony Wonder Lab he asked "Hey where you get yours from".......I said Lik-Sang.. He said "Same here." We played Ridge Racers And i wone . now on my screen it says 66% when you are hosting. Any way i Noticed a Circle dimple on his screen like it was sitting in the sun and a small marble was on top. Well I look @ my screen and i looked to see if I had mine was in good condition. Looked blowed on the screen and wiped to clean finger prints and i noticed a line I got my attention I was irriated got mad . I notice it came from hanging from my strap walking in Ney York City rumbing up against my jacket zipper.

MUST READ

To get that Illusion Effect you could use liquid lense or just get a screen protector and way put on the screen you can no longer see it. Try this one I used this one and it reduces viewing angle and glares.

When me and my Dad used to restore cars the plastic cover that covers the Speedometer and engine dials would be all scratched up. What did we use to polish it. ToothPaste. We would get a cloth put a dab of toothpaste on it and buff the plastic clear. The grit in the toothpaste removes a layer of plastic leaving it nice and clear. It works awesome. The dash won't get cavities for years. Laughing
The only thing is I am not sure the scree cover is plastic and what kinda of plastic is it. Just a thought.

I have never used brasso for removing scratches from plastic but I can attest that it works wonders on chrome and other metals. It is commonly used to remove scratches from the backside of iPods (alas, I dont have one yet).

Brasso actually works well on ipod screens, so i tried it on my psp. Use like a cotton ball or some soft kleenex, and rub some of it on the screen, let it settle in for like a minute, then rub it off, it should take off a good chunk of the scratches, i know it looks real bad going on, and u are like " shit, i hope i dont fuck up this $300 (cdn) investment " . but i find that if the scratches arent too deep, u will be much happier with the appearance. !
