it was mainly HiHi who invaded xlink and expressed extreme hate and everyone said xlink was jelous. Im sure that Xlink knew it was a april fools joke. But i was hoping it was legit. The Screen Shots were proof of the hoax. |

it was a late aprils fool joke though
so some people got their hopes up

yeh i was gettin my hopes up for it too, BUT it had a few key words in their claim that gave it away sayin that it was fake,
first of all they found a loophole, riiiiiiiiiight
The low bandwith page consisted of the source code of a a few lines of html code [anyone else look at this besides me?!?!] and that gave it away the sec i saw it lol
their pic was to simple too, you can make a simple Java applet using ANY java compiler [like JBuilder] and make this thing....take a picture and omg youve got a link program LOL
It all boils down to this...if your actually going to FAKE a ds link up program...take these 3 simple words of advice
*at least sign up for a free forum, this will make it more realistic
*do a better screenshot page that jadrule had
*actually come up with a way that could work instead of jsut claiming to have found a loophole or by simply thinking outside the box
I'd rant more about this but i think i'll just go back to making my own dslinkup programs |

Yeah I saw that, but I think it might be hacked. It redirects the .tk website to a geocities website. But only time will tell... |

LMAO!! I just went to dsgaming.co.uk, then I came back here to post that I found out it was all a hoax, and then I saw this message. What a coincidence! But anyways, what a bunch of losers. I'm sorry for all the crap that got put on Xlink because of jadrule. But anyways, who cares when DS online gaming is coming soon anyways? |

More funny.....
http://www.4colorrebellion.com/?p=612
This is from Nintendo...Special software required for the new online service...imo that's meant for the pc...so it will be a GAMESPY TUNNEL....or does software mean games...but they could have said.....compatible with online games?
If it's a tunnnel I laugh my balls off.....hoping it's a firmware update....cos the ds can be f|ashed.
If it's a tunnel...yup yup only online play at your house....hehehe or a pc where you can install it ....really portable... |

"special software required" to me implies software for the DS, aka you have to have a game that supports it.
Or a firmware update, that'd be sweet, online PictoChat. |

How would the DS download a firmware update if it cant connect to hotspots with out the update? It could be an online game that updates the firmware when you first play it. I believe its just games that are written to use wifi and not the multi player prot. |

Easy, special update booths, or software in games, or software for pc that can connect to DS and update.
There is no end to the possibilitys... |

Exactly. Metroid Prime Hunters, Animal Crossing, etc. Or stores could set up base stations that transmit the firmware updates to the DS.
