New Halo 2 maps on Xlink

Well, since on monday you can't acutally use the new maps in matchmaking, I wuz wondering if anyone wanted to play it on xlink. My XBL tag is Snimberry so contact me in wat ever way you wish: IM, PM, or XBL

i would... i have 2 xboxes but 1 is banned. the other is for live content but i let a buddy borrow it because his overheated... hence the "worth my effort" thing. i suppose i could copy the data off 1 box and fire it over to the other, but i don't think that works. some guy was talking about running an installer but i don't know what he was talking about either. guess i'm stuck for now.

i Have a theory. if you know someone with live and if you have a memory card you could copy the xbox live file and the hao 2 profile that has the maps on it and download the maps. Do you think this would work? I tried it with foundation and it worked.

actually it does work.. the data is stored in the TDATA folders, you need the files and the autoupdate. Ive transfered his files from the TDATA folders and the maps are there.

you could use mechassault nd its hacked gamesave to enable FTP transfers, then all you gotta do is ftp the maps nd update to the folder in TDATA.

I can tell you it does NOT work

I have installed the maps on 1 xbox, then I ftp'd all the maps TDATA etc to the other xbox & they are not there

You need to updat b4 you can access the maps

You will need to get the updater downloaded & burn to disc if you are not on live

You can't transfer the TDATA info for the new maps via FTP or GameSave copies. When you use the installer, it re-signs the maps to your Xbox accordingly so unless the two Xboxes have the same EEPROM, transferring the TDATA Halo 2 data will not work as it will give you a corrupted Downloadable Content error.

well, i have them and didnt pay a f*cking dollar/euro for them. can't wait till more people have them on live. Will there be a new room for the new maps? cuz i hate the message "a player in your party failed to load the map" Shocked

This installer will install the Map Packs for Halo 2 to your xbox console.
This is a PROPER installer, no hacked up map files that you cant use on live.
After installed, Halo 2 will have the maps installed.. just as if you were to pay for them

The Auto Update MUST BE INSTALLED before you install any actual DLC.

Install Instructions:

1. Either get all the updates by logging into XBOX Live with Halo 2 or run the installer
on your xbox and select the Update. After it says you have copied the update to the console
you will need to move it to it's proper DIR to make Halo 2 see it.

The installer places the update within /E:/TDATA/4d530064/$C/4d53006400UPDATE/*.*
Move the 4d53006400UPDATE Folder to /E:/TDATA/4d530064/ and rename to $u

2. After you have insured you have the Auto Update installed. Choose to install Both Of The Map
Packs.

in ur description of ur room jsut put NEW MAPS!!! so that people know and if they dont have them boot em till ur room fills up with ppl that do have the maps

alot of people have the maps now so it wont take long
