I've come to the conclusion that Marvell NICs and XLink don't play nice together and I'm hoping I'm not the only one with this issue. Long story short, XLink works great on my PC EXCEPT it has a hard time seeing my Xbox. I found the reg hack (http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6483&highlight=marvell&sid=9e536378a601faff0f06b49d268a8502) and it's made it intermitted at the best (which is still better than not at all). A friend brought over his laptop with a, uh, Intel NIC in it I think (can’t remember right at this moment) and it seemed to work all the time. So my conclusion is that’s its just this Marvell NIC in my PC. I’m going to pop in a 3Com or Intel NIC into my PC tomorrow to see if that is truly the case, but I was wondering if anyone else is having similar problems with the this particular brand of NICs. If you would like more detailed information please let me know and I will provide it. Thanks.
