I have a decent upload (620). Is it possible to let someone play off my host without me playing in the game?
I'd like to be able to create a kai private arena, and let some friends who do not have the best uploads to be able to take advantage of my connection. Is the only way around this, would be for me to be in the game and hand over party control to the person I want to run the show? Or is there a way that I can leave the game and everyone will still be playing off my connection? |

This is for Halo 2. I know kai has an option once you select private arena, and it says "dedicated host". |

does anyone know if Halo 2 supports this? If I set myself up as "Dedicated host", will others be able to play on my connection without me being in the game? |

nope, no dedicated for H2. another way around it would be to set a timer and you would technically be in game...but im almost positive H2 does not have this option. |

Yeah llnk does this for people. He leaves himself as the host on a particular map and just leaves himself somewhere hidden on the map so people aren't going and randomly killing him. He's got a 1MB upload over in Canada. Played on his server a fair few times. It's a cheap way of getting "dedicated hosting" into Halo 2, since hte game doesn't support it explicitly. |

Create the arena.. pass the "party leader" to some1 - u will be in the game, but others will have the control ... That is the best way I know of.. |
