Halo 2 - Trainer why bother to play at all

i was playing someone with a trainer, he was jumping very high, he was very little, he kept shooting rockets non-stop and i think he had infinity health because he had no deaths!!

Well I was just wondering...If using the trainer is what allows people to cheat then why not just delete the trainer program so no one can use it..I mean like stop it all together

Well you can't just do that because why would the people make it in the first place? Cause they suck at halo and have to make a "trainer" I mean seriously...how can you suck at halo, its not like counter-strike or something.

LOL i hardly play that game, but if i do go in to someones room, and play, i can easily get lots of kills. You're right, game as this doesn't really needs skills like CS, RS, or any of that kind. Yet these people use whatever means necessary to show-off to people they never met, seen or know them with their cheats/trainers via on-line gaming. Well actually it does need some skill because like CS, you get different damage for different body or head shots. Plus ive played with people of different levels, like some sucked, some were pretty good, and others were unstoppable..that means you do need some skill..Though I agree that CS is a harder game and needs both brains and a good aim to be good at.
Anyway I just dont think they shoudla created that trainer program..I mean there are many ways people can train without using it..The cons outweigh the pros by a hell of a lot..I mean people might actually quit Halo live because of that if it happens too often..I think there should be a more serious solution than just reporting people..I mean honestly I never thought that worked...You can report as many users as you want but they will keep coming so long as they can..
I hope they come up with a better solution..
Any suggestions ?? Anyone?

I try not to let cheaters intimidate me from playing Xlink Kai. Whenever we meet a team that is using trainers or mods, I just end the game and we host another one. But there has been so much cheaters online lately that it's impossible to play a good game without someone ruining it for you. Evil or Very Mad

I think that there should be a way for us to see people that are connected to us and to be able to kick them out if we need to.

Ummmm.... Thats exactly what PRIVATE ARENAS are for, you can Kick or ban someone from your game for the duration of that arena.

I know, but it's harder to get people to join when you're hosting an arena, and often you have to wait a long time before you finally get to play. Sad

And another problem... people on Xlink Kai are identified by their Kai Tag, not their in-game profile. If someone in the game is cheating, it's impossible to know which person in the arena corresponds to what person in the game.

The trainer is, like the maps, stored on the hard drive, and therefore is impossible to delete remotely as you seem to be suggesting.

Anyway, even if you could, some smart (As in, they can beat the protection made against the trainer) idiot would beat the protections to make a new 'jump at huge hieghts and never die' cheat.

lol I know what your saying and what everyone else is saying. I say that if people don't want to take the time to learn how to play the game or try to play fair then as it refers to the topic why play at all. But not all people who have trainers use them to their advanage I have played with some people who have trainers only the used it for fun for everyone not their own personal gain.

Yes, this is true, but the fact that they are having fun whilst ruining another person's gameplay experience makes the difference. This is why we have a separate area for Mods and Hacks, and that's where the 'trainer players' - so to speak - would come into play.

u should be able to ask people (just ask with voice NICELY) which screen name matches which xlink tag

(mine currently are diff till i can contact a mod/admin to change them)

most halo 2 players have the HeadSEt

And if sum1 has a headset and doesnt give u an acceptable anwer
